What is a multimedia CD?

It’s a CD, either a normal 12cm sized CD or a business card sized CD, which displays pictures and movies, plays music and commentary, and allows your customer to interact by selecting what they want to look at, play games or quizzes, re-play the bits they’re interested in etc.

CDs can be produced in either short or long runs and are available in plain plastic covers or in jewel cases with printed covers - just like the music CDs you buy in the stores

Playing a multimedia CD on your PC is broadly similar to surfing a web site - but is a much richer experience.

Freed of the restrictions of the web, music and sounds can be much fuller and richer, pictures can be larger and more detailed, animations and movies show immediately instead of making you wait.
